Collision Point are a heavy metal band from the British Isles, drawing on a wide range of influences from Megadeth and Thin Lizzy all the way to Nu Metal. They’re set to release their debut album “A Burning World” on the 26th June 2024 and they’ve kindly shared the album with us.

The first track we delved into “Break and Replace” and the moment the track starts your greeted by a great sounding bass tone which stays ever prevalent through the song. The main riff throughout the song is incredibly catchy then we get to the chorus and it gets even catchier. Brilliant song to start us off.

We’re the dregs! We’re the dregs!

Another highlight on the upcoming album “Dregs of Society”, it begins with spoken word clips heeding the warnings of Heavy Metal/rock. I always love these sections when they’re done well and it certainly is here. As soon as the track begins, we’re hit with that great bass tone again, it’s goes with the main riff so well again it’s very refreshing to have the bass stand out and not be lost in the mix!

They’re Killing Our Planet!

Okay, I can hear the Megadeth influence on “Nowhere to Run” intro. Brilliant melodic riff opening up with such a well-mixed song (seriously the bass!).

The chorus with the backing vocals is such a stand out part of the track, I can imagine it being a staple of a live show, speaking of which….

You’ll be able to see Collision Point live in August as they’re touring the UK along with Costa Rican Death Metal “Mantra” https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Mantra/10220 so be sure to check them out when they come knocking (we’ll be sure to see them!) A great album, incredibly well mixed with some great riffs we thoroughly recommend you listen when it drops 26th June.
