Richard Cummins - Rhythm guitar and backing vocals

Hi, I'm Richard the founder of the band! In 2017 I started up Collision Point after a decade away from the music scene. I've been writing and recording songs for the past 20 years since I was 16. Up until January 2023 I was going to give up on finding a steady line-up with Collison Point until it all suddenly fell perfectly into place. My previous bands were back home in Ireland.

My main musical influences are Megadeth, Trivium, Prince, Smashing Pumpkins, BFMV, FFAF, Silverstein, Korn and Iron Maiden. I've been playing guitar since I was 14 where I started out with a Washburn MG44 Mercury Series given to me by my father. Today I rock the Epiphone Signature Matt Heafy guitar and I use a Peavey 6505+ amp head with a Boss Waza Craft MT-2W pedal.

Outside of music I am a big football fan (Longford Town and Spurs) and a huge fan of the greatest sport in the world - Hurling. Also a member of the PC Master Race
